This page explains what Lovingly Kept stores, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Lovingly Kept is run by Lovingly Kept in the UK. We are responsible for your information. Contact: info@lovinglykept.com.

What we store

• When you start a book, your browser gets a private guest sign-in so you can come back to it. There are no accounts or passwords.
• What you and your family add: your family’s name, the names and relationships of people you add, their email addresses if you give them, photographs, written memories, captions, dates, places and voice recordings.
• Photographs are resized when uploaded, and location data is removed from them.
• Our hosting providers keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

How we use it

Only to make your book, show it to your family, let the people you invite add memories, and create your PDF. We don’t sell your information, show adverts or use AI on your memories.

Why we’re allowed to

To provide the service you asked for. For security logs, our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe. If we send marketing emails in future, we’ll only do so with your consent.

Sensitive information

Memories can mention health, beliefs or other sensitive details. Only add what you’re comfortable keeping in the book. We use it only to make your book.

Other people in your photographs and memories

Please only add photographs and memories you’re comfortable sharing with your family, and remove anything if someone asks you to.

Children

Lovingly Kept is for adults (18+) to use. Families may include photographs of children in their books.

Who else handles it

Supabase stores our database, photographs and recordings (in the UK). A hosting provider runs the website. When you start a book, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you’re a person and not an automated program; Cloudflare receives your IP address and some details about your browser to do this. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. If you choose to fill in our feedback form, Google Forms stores your answers; it only holds what you type, and an email address only if you leave one. Each provider only processes information to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

During early access, a project and everything in it (photographs, memories and voice recordings) is permanently deleted seven days after it was started. Please download your book before then.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email info@lovinglykept.com. We’ll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)).

If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top.
